My name is Shiloh and I am a 13 year breast cancer patient and survivor. I was diagnosed in November 2004 and have had multiple recurrence's over the years. Over the course of 13 years my battle consists of 19 surgeries, multiple anti hormone therapy treatments, targeted therapy, radiation and several types of chemotherapy. I also use Chinese medicine and acupuncture, healthy diet, exercise and rest. I try to maintain good quality of life as well in order to live each moment to the fullest. I am currently on IV chemotherapy on a regular basis and have a team of doctors locally in Port Saint Lucie. I also travel to Moffitt Cancer Research Center on a routine basis for testing. I have a fantastic team of doctors at Moffitt who are very thorough in making sure I get the best care possible.
This year I have been selected as the "Warrior in Pink of the Treasure Coast 2018". I am honored and Blessed to have this opportunity to share my story with others who fight breast cancer and inspire them to fight. I also find this as an opportunity to give back to the community and organizations who reach out to help me over the years. I am thankful and Blessed to be here miraculously as I continue my 13 year battle against breast cancer. I have made a commitment to continue this fight and to inspire others to fight. I fight this battle daily with faith, prayer, full support from my children, family, friends, church and those in the community such as "Friends in Pink" of the treasure coast. Please join myself and others in the fight against breast cancer by signing up for the Susan G Komen Race 2018. Live each moment to the fullest. Every Day is a gift from God!!
Fight Like a Girl, Shiloh
This year, I registered for the Komen Race for the Cure because I wanted to take action and be More Than Pink™. I want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer and need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75 percent of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.
Together, we are fueling the best science, boldest community and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That's our promise. Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
