A little about why our team is here:
This is the story of my Mother-in-law, Pam Walker, who's faith in God has made her breast cancer journey an inspiration. Her journey started before the diagnosis when she lost her husband of 25 years in September of 2015. 2 months later, with her grief still fresh, she was told by her tearful family doctor that she had breast cancer. We are all so thankful that she has been faithful with her yearly mammograms because that is how they found it. A prayer chain that spans counties across Texas and Arkansas and up to Pennsylvania began to pray for her. She declared her trust in God that He will bring her through this. Phillipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." December 8th 2015 she had a partial mastectomy with 28 lymphnodes removed and 3 were positive for cancer. She came through the surgery and recovery beautifully. The oncologist said it was Ductal cell carcinoma stage 2. A plan was made for 4 months of chemo and 2 months of radiation. Through every step she has smiled, laughed, and even prayed for others that were in the clinic with her during her chemo sessions. The side effects have been tough but she leaned on Jesus and He has brought her through. She has even continued ministering to others with sign language, providing inspiration to so many. April 1st 2016, was her last chemo treatment and in her words, "Woo Hoo it's time for a happy dance!" Now radiation is complete as of June 20th and she will continue on a pill to help prevent reoccurence with continued faith that God is in control! All of your family and friends, from the ones who call you Mom, MawMaw, daughter, Ms. Pam, and bestie among so many others, we want to say keep rocking it because you are one BAD MAMMA JAMMA! We love you!
Leave an encouraging note for the team!
