i got this!

On February 9, 2017, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and was told that this was "The First Day of the Rest of My Life"  Four days later my biopsy showed that I have Triple Negative Breast Cancer; this is a non-hormonal breast cancer.  After much reflection, (and a talk with self) I made the decision to accept God's plan and what lied ahead and told my family that "I GOT THIS!"  In March, I underwent surgery at The Cleveland Clinic which was very successful and I was given a very good diagnosis and outcome!  I am currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy at TCC to kill my cells and prevent the spreading of this terrible disease.  After the 16 treatments over 20 weeks I will start radiation every day for 6 weeks to 'clean up my site'.  It has been a long journey so far, but I KNOW I will continue to be a SURVIVOR because I GOT THIS!!

I THANK ALL my family, friends, doctors, nurses and all those whose paths I have crossed in 'My Journey' for the support, prayers and encouragement that has been shown to me these past 7 months.

Please join Erica's Encouraging Entourage at The Race for the Cure on 9-24-17 and help me and all others in CONQUERING THE BATTLE OF OUR LIVES!

Thank You,

Erica

This year, I registered for the Komen Race for the Cure because I wanted to take action and be More Than Pink™. I want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer and need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.

Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75 percent of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.

Together, we are fueling the best science, boldest community and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That's our promise. Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
