About a year ago, I started my running journey. The first 5k event I participated in was my local Race for a Cure in honor of my mother, Debbie Deane, who lost her courageous 10-year battle against breast cancer the summer after I graduated high school.
Over this past year, I have continued running and decided I wanted to participate in this event each year, to continue to raise awareness of breast cancer, and to help raise money for this cause.
So, on April 14th, I will again be running the 5k Race for the Cure in honor of my mother. I wish she was still here and could see the woman I have become.
I want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer and need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75 percent of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.
Together, we are fueling the best science, boldest community and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That's our promise. Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
