Here is the reality for Southwest Virginia -
818 women and men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year
172 women and men die each year from breast cancer
Southwest Virginia women are dying of breast cancer more often than women in the U.S. as a whole. And that has to change.
Before I started working for Susan G. Komen Virginia Blue Ridge, I did not have a personal connection to breast cancer. Now, since working for the local Affiliate, I have met so many women and men who have been touched by this terrible disease. They are the reason I stay motivated. They are the reason why I am so determined to help find a cure.
I am registered for this year’s Komen Race for the Cure, and one easy way for you to help join me in the fight against breast cancer is by making a tax-deductible donation. Your support means the world to me, and I know it certainly means the world to the local women and men who have been touched by breast cancer. Whether you make $10 or $100, everything helps us get one step closer to finding the cures.
Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation today?
