I and my 7 year old whippet, Easy are walking mainly to support our 4 Paws for the Cure team leader-Jean Richardson, our long time dog Nosework instructor who is undergoing breast cancer treatment now. This lady is meeting this challange with as much dignity and good humor as can be mustered during this time. But also walking for the multitude of friends and family who have fought this disease especially my mom, Paul Dauphin, Wendy McIlroy, Liz Oettinger, Kathleen Scoggin, Tammy Skubbina, Sue Hanen and others who have survied and my grandmother and Patty Boyle who did not. Race for the Cure is more than just another run or walk. It is a renewed commitment to do all we can to end this disease, a celebration of survivorship and a time to honor those we have lost along the way.
Your fundraising dollars drive our work across Oregon & SW Washington. Our region continues to have the highest incidences of breast cancer in the country with 63 women diagnosed each and every week in Oregon. 11 will die.
Please support my participation in the 2017 Eugene for the Cure with a donation, and join us in the global movement to end breast cancer forever. Every step we take will be toward a cure. There is only one way we can accomplish this: Together. You can donate to me or just type in Easy Pisias to donate to my 4 legged walking buddy
